This documentary film celebrates the meaning of identity of various women artists like Chavela Vargas, Eugenia Leon, Lila Downs and Astrid Hadad, some of them Mexicans by blood others by love. All of them are questioned about their art, their roots, their fears, hopes and love ones. A perfect documentary to celebrate with film and music 200 years of Mexican Independence and 100 years of its Revolution. An opportunity to reflect on our bonds to our culture.  After the screening join us with a glass of Tequila and live music by Mexican singer Edith Tamayo. She will delight us with some songs in line with the spirit of the documentary.

The film is in Spanish with English subtitles and will be introduced by Claudia Cohen (DK/Mexico).
